Black Girls Shoot Too photo walks are community-focused events designed to create a supportive and inspiring space for Black girls and women of color interested in photography. Each walk features a guest professional photographer who kicks things off with a demonstration, sharing valuable insights and techniques. We then dive into hands-on practice, using the time to test our skills and engage in fun photo challenges. These walks are a fantastic opportunity to explore your creative expression, learn new skills, and discover diverse neighborhoods around Los Angeles through your lens. It's also a great way to network with fellow photography enthusiasts and capture the beauty of our surroundings together.
You can bring any camera you have, whether it's a smartphone, a point-and-shoot, a DSLR, or a mirrorless camera. The most important thing is to bring what you're comfortable using and what allows you to capture images. We encourage you to bring fully charged batteries and enough memory card space! All skill levels are welcomed.
The prices for our photography classes vary depending on the specific class, its duration, the instructor, and the content covered. We aim to keep our classes affordable while providing high-quality instruction. Detailed pricing for each class will be clearly listed on its individual registration page when it's announced.
